About the Budget Blog

Welcome to the Wisconsin Women’s Health Budget Project Blog! Our goal is to raise awareness of the impact that budget cuts to women’s health programs will have on women and girls in Wisconsin. In order to achieve this, we will closely follow the state budget process and share our thoughts on proposed cuts and changes to programs affecting women’s health in the state. We also hope to raise awareness of the state budget process and inspire more individuals to engage in the budget advocacy process in Wisconsin.

We, Hope Harvey and Jen Winter, two graduate students at the La Follette School of Public Affairs and current interns at the Wisconsin Alliance for Women’s Health, are the authors behind this blog. Although we are writing these posts in conjunction with a budget project for the Wisconsin Alliance on Women’s Health, our comments do not necessarily reflect the views of the organization. We welcome your comments and hope to ignite meaningful, respectful debate around the issues raised.
